Audit Committee Certified Graduates

Congratulations to the graduates of The Directors College* Audit Committee Program. These graduates have successfully completed the Audit Committee Program and rigorous individual exam, to be granted the privilege to use the official mark Audit Committee Certified (A.C.C.)

The Audit Committee Program was developed in partnership with, and delivered by faculty from, Deloitte Touche, McCarthy Tetrault, and Financial Executives International Canada along with experienced Audit Committee Chairs and behavioral experts.

Dr. David T. Fung, C.Dir., H.R.C.C.C., A.C.C.
Board of Directors, CSA Group

Dr. David T. Fung is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the ACDEG Group of companies, a global technology integrator with partnerships in forest products, clean technologies, chemicals, electrical power cogeneration, agric-foods, marine equipment, OEM parts manufacturing and packaging wastes recycling in North America, Europe and Asia. He obtained his Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees in chemical engineering from McGill University in Montreal, completed the senior business executive program at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and achieved the designations of C. Dir., A.C.C. and H.R.C.C.C. from the Directors College (a joint venture of the Conference Board of Canada and McMaster University of Hamilton, Ontario).

Dr. Fung is chancellor and a member of the board of governors and senate of Capilano University, vice-chair of the Canada China Business Council, board member of the CSA Group, National Zero Waste Council of Canada and the Canadian Green Chemistry and Engineering Network, steering committee member of the Metro Vancouver Regional Prosperity Initiative and was chair of the national policy committee of the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (2009-16), board member of CentrePort Canada Inc. (2009-15), chair of the Chemical Institute of Canada (2013-4), co-chair of the Members of the Canada Foundation for Innovation (2009-14), chair of the China Committee of International Science & Technology Partnership Canada (2007-13), chair of the National Board of Directors of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (2007-9) and president of the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (2006-7). Dr. Fung is an Investment Champion for Global Affairs Canada and a member of the Gateway Performance Table of Transport Canada and was a member of the Regulatory Advisory Committee of the Treasury Board of Canada (2013-6) and a member of the Selection Committee of the Canada Networks of Centres of Excellence of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (2013-6) and the Strategic Advisory Committee of the Minister of International Trade of Canada (2007-9). He is a venture advisor of Cycle Capital Management Inc., one of the largest clean technology venture capital funds in Canada. He was awarded the 2009 Canadian Asian of the Year (business and public service category) by Asia Network Canada, the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal by the Governor General of Canada in 2012 and Doctor of Laws (honoris causa) by Capilano University, North Vancouver (BC) in 2014.
