Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Brian Prendergast, C.Dir.
Senior Vice President, Recochem Inc.
Brian Prendergast is a Senior Executive with a background in General Management, marketing and sales with experience running businesses ranging from $7M to $500M across global industries including Consumer Products, Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology.
As Senior Vice President of Recochem Inc. he is responsible for bottom line delivery of North American operations which encompasses sales of $250MM, a workforce of 450 and 4 plants. He is also leading global growth through strategic alliances. Brian joined Recochem from Sonar Group Marketing Services where he was an owner and President. Prior to this he held the roles of President of Monsanto Canada, Vice President of Sales of Frito-Lay Canada, Vice President of Gilbey Canada and a number of management roles in both sales and marketing management with International Distillers and Vintners-UK and Procter & Gamble.
As a marketer, he has created and launched a number of global brands. He has re-positioned and re launched a number of market-leading brands and was a pioneer in ‘relationship marketing.'
As a Sales leader, Brian has redesigned sales forces, created customer affinity programs, incentive award programs and performance based compensation designs. He is a certified coach.
And as an entrepreneur, he was co-founder of Champagne Motion Pictures, Canada's first film production company focused on the emerging field of rock videos.
He has completed the Chartered Directors College and is a Board Member of Stewardship Ontario and CCSPA. Past Board positions include HRPAO, Sunnybrook HSC Foundation, Past-Chair of the Board of The Orthopaedic & Arthritic Institute Foundation, The Canadian Functional Foods Network of Excellence, The Canadian Arthritis Network (Centres of Excellence) and Mansfield Ski Club.
He holds a B. Comm. from Queen's University.
