Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Geoffrey Creighton, C.Dir.
President, In-house Counsel Worldwide
Geoff Creighton is the recently-retired Senior Vice-President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer of IGM Financial, the parent company of Investors Group, Mackenzie Investments and Investment Planning Counsel. IGM is one of the largest publicly-traded asset manager in the world, and part of the Power Corp. group of companies. IGM companies provide financial services for literally millions of Canadians, and have approximately $140 billion of assets under management. Geoff oversaw the legal, compliance, and corporate secretarial functions of IGM and its subsidiaries. He was formerly for 25 years in private practice with Torys LLP, briefly as a litigator and then as a securities/M&A/corporate specialist, acting for boards and special committees in transformative transactions. Geoff is currently the President and Chair of In-House Counsel Worldwide which represents thousands of in-house counsel across Canada and the world. He has been a speaker, author and instructor across a wide range of governance and legal topics. Geoff received his LL.B. as gold medallist from University of Toronto in 1980. Called to the bar in 1982, he clerked for Justice Bud Estey at the Supreme Court of Canada, was the Ontario editor of the Canadian Bar Review for 20 years, and has been an active volunteer in the Canadian Bar Association for three decades. Happily married to Marie, they are together proud parents of Christine, Andrea and Evan.
