Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Scott Tapson, C.Dir.
Vice President, Corporate & Commercial Development, Chorus Aviation Inc.
Scott Tapson is the Vice President, Corporate & Commercial Development for Chorus Aviation Inc., an aviation holding company. In addition, Scott holds the same position at Chorus subsidiary Jazz Aviation LP, Canada’s largest regional airline and the third largest airline in Canada, based on passengers carried. Jazz currently operates as Air Canada Express flying over 725 departures each weekday to over 70 destinations in Canada and in the United States on behalf of Air Canada.
With over 30 years of experience in the airline industry Scott is currently responsible for corporate & commercial development opportunities at Chorus and its subsidiaries to actively seek new growth opportunities for the company beyond its current portfolio of business.
Scott has an in-depth knowledge of the aviation industry having held senior leadership roles at Air Ontario, AirBC and Jazz. During this time his assignments have included a wide range of responsibilities in the commercial area including network planning, marketing and sales, as well as strategic planning, customer service and operations.
In 2015 Scott obtained the Chartered Director (C.Dir.) designation from The Directors College (a joint venture between McMaster University and The Conference Board of Canada). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Voyageur Aviation Corp. Scott also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Western University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Western University’s Ivey School of Business.
