Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Raymond Sass, C.Dir.
Board Member, Information Services Corporation
Raymond Sass is currently employed by SARCAN Recycling, a division of the Saskatchewan Association of Rehabilitation Centres (SARC).
Previous to employment with SARCAN, Mr. Sass was employed by the Saskatchewan Abilities Council for a period of 25 years as Operations Manager. In being employed by the community based organizations, Mr. Sass has gained an understanding and appreciation of the needs of individuals with disabilities as well as the needs of community based organizations and non-profit organizations.
Mr. Sass has a desire to lead organizations to achieve their strategic objectives. To achieve this desire, he has been a school board trustee for eight years and Chairperson for six of the eight years. Also, he is an active board member in the Anglican Church on a local, provincial and national level. As a change of pace, he is Vice-President of the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association which provides for a position on the National Board of the organization, as well as remaining active on the local level.
While employed at the Saskatchewan Abilities Council, Mr. Sass formed the Solid Waste Management Committee on behalf of the City of Yorkton and is the Chairperson of the committee. In October of 2008, he was appointed to the Board of Governors for the Parkland College and shortly into the term was elected Vice-Chair.
Mr. Sass believes in effective and efficient board governance through the policy governance model. This type of governance allows the board to govern to achieve the strategic goals through development of policy and definite procedures.
