Sandy is Senior Human Resources Consultant for Emera Inc. (EMA-TSX), an energy and services company with 570,000 customers, $4.0 billion in assets and a $2.0 billion market capitalization.
In her role, Sandy reports to Emera's Vice President HR. She is responsible for developing and implementing policies, plans and procedures for all core and strategic HR activities including compensation, recruitment, training and development, performance management and organizational development for Emera's non-regulated affiliates. Sandy also administers all aspects of Executive Compensation and works closely with Emera's Board and Board Committees on salary, incentive and benefits programs that remunerate Executive Team members.
Prior to joining Human Resources, Sandy was a member of Nova Scotia Power's customer service team in the role of Call Center Manager for eight years. Previous to Emera, she was employed by a Canadian retail chain as both a District Sales Manger and HR Manager for the Atlantic Region.
Sandy is a graduate of Saint Mary's University, Halifax (B.Com 1983).
