Congratulations to the graduates of The Directors College* Human Resources and Compensation Committee Program. These graduates have successfully completed the program and rigorous individual exam, to be granted the privilege to use the official mark Human Resources and Compensation Committee Certified (H.R.C.C.C.)*

The Human Resources and Compensation Committee Program was developed in partnership with the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA). This unique education program, tailored to the needs of both directors and senior corporate officers, provides insight into the role of the Board Compensation Committee. H.R.C.C.C. Graduates

Ms. Deborah Samagalski, H.R.C.C.C.
Director, Corporate Human Resources, EPCOR Utilities Inc.

Deborah leads the Corporate Human Resources team for EPCOR which encompasses all governance and strategic aspects for HR policies and programs across the organization. She has also worked on various corporate mergers, integrations and acquisitions through her career, including EPCOR's most recent transition of American Water Company (Arizona and New Mexico) assets and operations into the newly created EPCOR Water (USA) Inc.

Prior to working at EPCOR, Deborah worked in Human Resources departments ranging from the world and corporate headquarters level to an individual country dynamic. Her extensive experience across several industries (computing, financial, engineering and utilities) was developed over 20+ years through positions based in the US, South Pacific and Canada.

Deborah obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Alberta and her current list of memberships includes the Conference Board Council of HR Executives West, Conference Board Compensation Research Centre (CRC), WorldatWork Association, Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute (CPBI) and Employer Committee on Health Care (ECHC). She was also profiled as part of the “Real People in HR” opening for the Total Rewards section of the latest “Human Resource Management” Third Canadian Edition textbook from McGraw-Hill.

Deborah is an active sponsor and volunteer for Autism Speaks Canada as well as a strong proponent of Health and Wellness within EPCOR and her personal life.
